Share Your Story

Imagine every single person can change the world! Yes, it’s not just for people who are famous or with a lot of resources. You can do it too. Today, let’s explore how regular people from the Bible changed the world and how you can do the same.

This article is a summary of Quentin Goodman’s sermon on April 21, 2024. Watch the original sermon below.

A man in trouble

They went across the lake to the region of the Gerasenes. 2 When Jesus got out of the boat, a man with an impure spirit came from the tombs to meet him. 3 This man lived in the tombs, and no one could bind him anymore, not even with a chain. 4 For he had often been chained hand and foot, but he tore the chains apart and broke the irons on his feet. No one was strong enough to subdue him. 5 Night and day among the tombs and in the hills he would cry out and cut himself with stones.

Mark 5:1-5

Here’s a man in the Bible who was in deep trouble, controlled by evil spirits and hurting himself. No one could help him—not even chains could hold him. But then, Jesus came and everything changed.

Here comes Jesus

Just like in superhero movies, Jesus steps into a situation and everything changes. He cast out the demon and brought peace to the man (Mark 5:6-13).

When we bring Jesus into the situation, we have the partnership to solve impossible problems.

And we need tremendous faith to do that.

Sharing Your Story

After being healed, the man didn’t just go back to his old life. He went on to share his story across ten cities!

Telling people about our transformations is powerful — When you do that, you won’t be the only one who changes. The people who heard your story of faith will also change!

In the video, you will hear the transformation stories of a brother and a sister.

How to Share Your Story

When sharing your story, start by describing your life before you became a Christian. Then, talk about the challenges you faced and how you overcame them.

Who to share your stories with? You can always start with your family where you can make the most impact.

Share when you called out for help and how things changed afterward. Your story might just be what someone needs to hear to help them believe.

The chain reaction of sharing your story can have lasting effects. You may not know or believe the impact it will have. Start sharing your story because it can change the world.
