We are a non-denominational church in Fairfield, CT, with members meeting locally throughout Fairfield and New Haven counties. We started over 20 years ago and now have over 200 followers of Christ.

Our members come from diverse backgrounds and all stages of life. We are committed to following the teachings of the bible and meeting regularly.

We are a unified Church where every disciple is valued. We foster a sense of belonging through sacrificial agape love. We equip each member with God’s Word and support, enabling them to use their talent in our collective mission.

Shepherding Team

This diverse team is made up of staff and volunteer members. This well-trained team is responsible for the development of effective ministries to meet the needs of the church.

Patrick and La Micia

Lead Ministers


Patrick and La Micia Genova joined the SoConn Church in 2017 as the Youth and Family ministry leaders. Previously, they served overseas in the mission team in Madrid, Spain. They were trained in the New England School of Missions Seminary. Patrick is currently the Regional Communication Director for New England Christ of Christ. La Mica is the author of the book “Becoming Mrs.G: A True Christian Love Story”. They have a young child, Jacob. Patrick is fluent in Spanish.

Jacky

Singles Ministry Advocate


Jacky Cayard has been an active church member since 2003, serving the singles. She holds a Masters degree of Arts in Criminal Justice from Sacred Heart University.

Jim and Teresa

Campus Shepherds and House Church Coach


 Jim and Teresa Brown served in the full-time ministry for over 30 years. Their experience includes mission teams to Brazil and Africa, and serving as ministers in NYC Church of Christ. They have been married for 30 years and have 3 children. They are now retired but felt the calling to use their experience to guide the church.

Stan and Gisela

Financial Stewardship and Spanish Ministry

Stan and Gisela Lamour have faithfully served our church since 1996. Stan, an educator for over 20 years, serves on the Shepherding Team and as President of the Board of Directors. Gisela, a Family Nurse Practitioner, also serves on the Leadership Team, translates for the Spanish Ministry, and helps lead the Women’s Ministry Retreat Committee. Together, they lead Financial Peace, mentor dating and married couples, and have previously led our Children’s, Preteen, and Teen Ministries. Their greatest joy is raising their three children. Their love for God and servant hearts continue to be a tremendous blessing to our church family.

Dennis and Marquette

Dating and Engaged Couples Support

Dennis and Marquette Wilson have been disciples for more than 30 years. They have served as a leadership couple for different ministries, including marrieds’, singles’, children’s, and dating couples,’ at various times throughout their spiritual journey. The Wilsons love their church family, and strive to be inspirational, Christ-centered examples that serve and encourage others. Dennis and Marquette have been married since 1995. They have shared interests in speed walking, car rides, seeking out new challenges, and watching football.

John and Cheryl

Marriage Support and Wellness

John and Cheryl Rountree, residents of Westport, CT, have been happily married for 34 years. They have been leading community groups for more than 15 years. John has dedicated over 10 years as the Director of HOPE World Wide’s Southern CT Chapter. Professionally, he’s an architect specializing in sustainable energy. Cheryl, with 40 years of experience, is a licensed social worker offering mental health counseling. In the community, John is involved with the local Chamber of Commerce, while Cheryl enjoys yoga and meditation. Both love gardening and hosting friends. They have two accomplished adult children: Ben, a filmmaker, and Sarah, a chef.

Quentin

Campus Minister


Quentin Goodman has a passion for seeking and saving the lost and for raising up men to lead in the Church. He graduated from the University of Connecticut in 2023 with an Exercise Science degree. During his time at UConn, he delayed his senior year to take part in a ministry training internship called Chance Of A Lifetime. This internship sparked his growth in preaching and practical ministry. Quentin lives in Stratford and spends his free time watching movies with friends, playing volleyball, and training in the gym.

Adriana

Campus Leader


Adriana grew up in the Dominican Republic and has been a part of the Church there since she was young. She is fluent in English and Spanish and has a degree in international business University of New Haven. She currently serves as our Campus minister.

Stenson

Youth & Family Teen Leader

Stenson Jean-Baptiste, Jr. has been a member of the SoConn Church of Christ since 2018. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology with a Minor in Criminal Justice. Stenson is always thinking about different ways that he can serve and help others by using the gifts and talents God has provided him. Stenson has had much experience working with at risk youth in the community and while continuing to do so he has now also been helping serve in the Teen Ministry here at SoConn. Stenson resides in the Valley Area of Southern Connecticut, specifically in the City of Shelton. He has a passion for music,  playing sports, supporting families, and building friendships. 

Sarah

Youth & Family Teen Leader

Sarah Murray has been an active church member since 2012 and graduated from Salem State University in 2016, majoring in Graphic Design with a minor in Advertising. She openly shares her personal journey, hoping that by doing so, it becomes a source of inspiration for others to understand God’s love better and connect with Him. In her free time, she enjoys traveling to new places, reading, playing volleyball, and spending time in nature.

Brigitte

Administrative Assistant

Brigitte Santiago Moore has been a member of the church since 2014. She served as a Community Group Leader, in the Preteen and Teen Ministry and has served on the Board of Directors. As an administrative assistant of the church, she helps with a variety of tasks, including upkeep of the calendar and church app, as well as communications. Brigitte resides in Ansonia with her husband, Elliot, and her children, Elijah and Brielle. She loves music, time with friends, sporting events, and time with her children and their friends.

Sandy

Administrator and Human Resources Coordinator

Sandy has been a faithful member of SoConn since 2003 and has also served with the New York City and Tulsa churches. Throughout the years, she has led Family Groups, served in Children’s Ministry, and volunteered on the church’s count team. As Church Administrator and Human Resources Coordinator, Sandy oversees many of the church’s operational, financial, and personnel functions, helping the ministry run smoothly behind the scenes.
