Fiona Schachinger was baptized on March 18, 2018. We had the chance to catch up with her and ask her a few questions about her walk with God and how she came to make this amazing decision.
What inspired you to pursue a relationship with God?
Realizing that I was not actually a part of God’s kingdom really made me want to pursue God and the word. I wanted to understand how the people around me were able to be so happy and loving and so connected to God and each other.
What was one of your biggest challenges as you went about it?
Probably growing up in the church was the most difficult part for me. Making sure I was doing this for myself rather than from pressure was difficult to balance.
What do you love most about God?
I love most how he accepts everyone at their worst and doesn’t care about their past, only their future selves and how they choose to change.
Do you have anything you would like to share with anyone else considering a relationship with God?
Only that if you are someone considering studying or getting baptized, do not be hard on yourself! You will never be perfect in your own eyes!! But, to God you are perfect always!
