On Sunday, Feb. 26th, McKayla Owen made Jesus Lord of her life and was humbly baptized by her parents and surrounded by so many of her new brothers and sisters. Â McKayla’s journey began years ago as a young teen when she expressed interest in studying the Bible. Â It was not an easy journey for her but she never gave up and God continued to put the right people in her life to guide her along the way. Â It was when McKayla really applied James 1:22-25Â
“Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. 23 Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror 24 and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. 25 But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it—not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it—they will be blessed in what they do.”
to her Bible studies she began to really experiencing that freedom first hand! Â She has a HUGE heart for others, is so very loyal and we can’t wait to see how God will use her to help others find that freedom as well!
