I can't tell you how encouraged and inspired I was by our time of worship. I know that my heart was stirred to worship God in a more acceptable way. I know that God was glorified and pleased. I'm inspired to grow in my time of worship to God.

I am so glad we are doing this!! As I focus on God and learn more of Him I begin to understand why Paul said all the problems and challenges he faced were "light and momentary trouble." The infinity and eternity of our great and awesome God really put Satan's distractions into perspective. That's the extent of many things: it's a tactic by the enemy to get me to take my eyes off of God the Father, Christ His Son, and the Comforter Counselor Holy Spirit. He reigns and He calls me His Beloved. Only God can be God so I am learning to let Him be my God and to rejoice in Him simply because He Is.

This message spoke to my heart directly! I have been having such a hard time being humble, particularly with my spouse.. constantly wanting him and feeling like I NEEDED him to see my point of view and agree with it every time we had a disagreement. What cut me the most is when Sam described complete humility as not only apologizing but taking full responsibility just as Christ assumed full ownership for our sin on the Cross (Philippians 2:3-8). This also had me wondering if I can be corrected or confronted. If my point of view is so important to me, do I deafen my ear and harden my heart to everything else around me? Can I truly be growing in Christ and as a wife if I never allow my opinions or feelings to go unnoticed. I'm so grateful for being married so that I can really see my character in full view. I find that my friendships tend to be a bit different and I'm more gracious in those interactions. My prayer is that this will stick with me and I'll truly grow in this area.

One of the many things that I am learning is that nothing in the Bible is extraneous. Everything that's there is there for a reason. Take John the Baptist's clothing. Why does Mark mention what he wears? Because the camel hair clothing and leather belt were the traditional clothes of a prophet. Not just his words but his very appearance told who he was. God is attentive to every detail! So my questions to myself are what do my words and appearance show me to be? Who do I want people to see me as? Am I as attentive to details in my worship of God and discipleship as He is with me? God's words are good food for thought....
