Thanksgiving baskets for needy families

All of our members will contribute non-perishable items to create meals for families who otherwise could not make a full Thanksgiving meal. Our goal is to serve over 20 families canned vegetables, makings for pies, stuffing. As well as personal items for the families: like coloring books, candles. Please join our effort to help others have a special meal.

Melissa Svindland Makes Jesus Lord

On Sunday, May 7th just after church, Southern Connecticut welcomed Melissa Svindland as our new sister in Christ. Melissa studied the Bible with several of the married sisters and those in the singles for almost a year. She was first invited to church by Deanna Reda, her co-worker at the time and later began studying the Bible. More than 200 Come Out to Womens Day

On Saturday, April 29th more than 200 women came together at the Trumbull Marriott for an inspiring day of worship, sharing, fellowship and lessons from God's word. This year's theme for Southern Connecticut's annual Women's Day was based off of Luke 18:27, "Jesus replied, “What is impossible with man is possible with God. McKayla Owen Makes Jesus Lord
