Melissa Svindland Makes Jesus Lord

On Sunday, May 7th just after church, Southern Connecticut welcomed Melissa Svindland as our new sister in Christ. Melissa studied the Bible with several of the married sisters and those in the singles for almost a year. She was first invited to church by Deanna Reda, her co-worker at the time and later began studying the Bible. More than 200 Come Out to Womens Day

On Saturday, April 29th more than 200 women came together at the Trumbull Marriott for an inspiring day of worship, sharing, fellowship and lessons from God's word. This year's theme for Southern Connecticut's annual Women's Day was based off of Luke 18:27, "Jesus replied, “What is impossible with man is possible with God. Tyesha grew up and works in New Haven.  She was met two years ago and started studying the Bible with Amber, Vania and Nori.   Then life got into her way and Tyesha stopped studying the Bible.  Tyesha got married and came back with a more serious and urgent heart to seek God.  She has grown tremendously in the previous few months in her conviction in God's word and applying to her life. Rosjanee Shelton makes Jesus Lord

On Wednesday April 12, Rosjenee Shelton made Jesus Lord of her life! She is a junior at the University of New Haven in their Criminal Justice program. She hopes to be a criminal attorney someday. She was met at her job at Home Depot in the paint department by Stan & Miguel Lamour. She started studying the Bible and over almost a year really understood what it meant to be Jesus’ disciple.
