This message spoke to my heart directly! I have been having such a hard time being humble, particularly with my spouse.. constantly wanting him and feeling like I NEEDED him to see my point of view and agree with it every time we had a disagreement. What cut me the most is when Sam described complete humility as not only apologizing but taking full responsibility just as Christ assumed full ownership for our sin on the Cross (Philippians 2:3-8). This also had me wondering if I can be corrected or confronted. If my point of view is so important to me, do I deafen my ear and harden my heart to everything else around me? Can I truly be growing in Christ and as a wife if I never allow my opinions or feelings to go unnoticed. I’m so grateful for being married so that I can really see my character in full view. I find that my friendships tend to be a bit different and I’m more gracious in those interactions. My prayer is that this will stick with me and I’ll truly grow in this area.
